Celebrate the start of the semester with us at the Festival of Giant Kites at Tempelhofer Feld.
On 12 September, the sky above Tempelhofer Feld will be filled with colourful giant kites, including unique designs and large flying figures that create a beautiful open-air spectacle. The festival also includes kite demonstrations, music, talks, and other activities throughout the day.
This is a relaxed outdoor event for students to reconnect, spend time together, and enjoy one of Berlin’s popular public events before the semester gets fully underway. Students are welcome to come with friends.
Please bring a picnic blanket, drinks, and snacks so you can enjoy the day comfortably. There is no admission fee.
The event will take place at the western part of Tempelhofer Feld from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Registration is open, so please sign up to let us know you’ll be joining.
